Belgrade had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Butte Bulldogs on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Belgrade wouldn't go down easily and took Butte into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 15-11.

Belgrade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Big Sky on the 30th. As for Butte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Billings Senior on the 30th.
