Baseball Game Preview: Arleta Mustangs vs. Monroe Vikings

For the second straight game, Arleta will face off against Monroe. The Mustangs will welcome the Vikings at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for Arleta after they put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Monroe by a score of 4-3. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Arleta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Thomas, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Another was Abel Catalan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Monroe pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Arleta, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
