Baseball Recap: Bland County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Craig County on Thursday, Bland County came back down to earth. The Bears lost 10-4 to the Galax Maroon Tide on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroon Tide this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 last Friday.

Bland County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Galax, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bland County will square off against Eastern Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galax, they will take on Grayson County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Maroon Tide's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
