Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Cougars vs. Ridgeview Ravens

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Ridgeview. The Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Mountain View came up short against Ridgeview and fell 7-2.

For Ridgeview's part, they let Ryden Nakamura and Bennett Wyatt run wild. Nakamura went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI, while Wyatt went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Wyatt has posted since April 7th. Another player making a difference was Finn Chambers, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Ridgeview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
