Softball Recap: Gaither Comes Up Short

Gaither lost to Wharton back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cowboys fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4.

Gaither's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wharton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Gaither will challenge Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Wharton, they will take on East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.4 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
