Recap: Pine Lake Prep Pride vs. Bradford Prep Bears
There's no place like home for the Pine Lake Prep Pride, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 72-61 victory over Bradford Prep on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pine Lake Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Robert Magner out in front who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Wes Statzer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Pine Lake Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Bradford Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Pine Lake Prep and Apex Friendship will round out the year against one another at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th at. Bradford Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carolina International at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Carolina International knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Bradford Prep likes a good challenge.
