Baseball Recap: Waupaca Takes a Loss

Waupaca fell victim to Xavier and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0. The Comets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Cory Ellenich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Xavier, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Waupaca will square off against Fox Valley Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Xavier, they will take on New London at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
