Baseball Recap: Alameda Pirates vs. Northridge Grizzlies
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vista PEAK Prep, Alameda was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Northridge Grizzlies 9-1. Considering the Pirates have won three games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Hudson Judy was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Angel Arroyo, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Alameda now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Looking ahead, Alameda will challenge Denver West at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver West has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something Alameda will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wellington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Northridge's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
