Basketball Recap: Chester County Triumphs

Chester County's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 1-0 win over the Scotts Hill Lions. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Lions are ranked 113th).

Chester County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Scotts Hill, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.

Chester County has already played their next matchup, a 50-23 defeat against Crockett County on the 20th. As for Scotts Hill, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Scotts Hill Lions duke it out with the McNairy Central Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
