Basketball Recap: Heard County Falls Despite Big Games from Armari Emory and Cameron Ogletree

Heard County lost against Newnan back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Heard County Braves lost 60-39 to the Newnan Cougars. The matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Heard County's loss came despite strong showings from Cameron Ogletree and Armari Emory. Ogletree posted nine points and seven rebounds, while Emory put up seven points and five rebounds.

Heard County dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Newnan, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Heard County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-52 win against Greenville on the 4th. As for Newnan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-40 victory against Callaway on the 4th.
