Basketball Game Preview: Sayre Eagles vs. Granite

The Sayre Eagles and Granite, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles two weeks ago. Sayre walked away with a 44-36 win over Burns Flat-Dill City. Sayre hasn't had any issues with Burns Flat-Dill City recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Granite humbled Duke with a 68-28 victory. Granite has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 30 points or more this season.

Sayre's record is now 3-4. As for Granite, their record now sits at 7-4.

Sayre came up short against Granite in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, falling 40-35. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
