Basketball Recap: South Hills' Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road match was the charm for South Hills, as they earned their first road win of the season. They secured a 51-46 W over the West Covina Bulldogs on Tuesday. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 48-41 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

South Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cruz Valdez, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Medina, who earned 13 points.

South Hills' win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-7. As for West Covina, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

West Covina and Edgewood will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Covina is facing Edgewood at the right time seeing as Edgewood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
