Recap: Seymour Wildcats vs. Torrington Raiders
The Seymour Wildcats posted their biggest victory since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 67-46 margin over Torrington. The victory was familiar territory for Seymour who now have three in a row.
Indrit Peraj was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Carrafiello, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Seymour's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Torrington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will take on St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Torrington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newington at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Newington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Torrington likes a good challenge.
