Basketball Recap: Wheatland Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Wheatland entered their matchup against Clinton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wheatland Mules fell to the Clinton Cardinals 35-31. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mules came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Cardinals are ranked 231st).

Wheatland's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2. As for Clinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Wheatland will challenge Niangua at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton has already played their next game (against Smith-Cotton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
