Basketball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton was the 50-48 winner over Mountain Ridge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Riverton Silverwolves took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Ridge Sentinels. The Silverwolves just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Lindsay, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Isaac Langston, who posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Mountain Ridge, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Riverton and Mountain Ridge could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. Riverton will challenge Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 42 places (50 vs. 8). Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge (ranked 55th) will meet Bingham (ranked ninth) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
