Basketball Preview: Franklinton Rams vs. Bunn Wildcats

The Franklinton Rams will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bunn Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Franklinton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Franklinton was fully in charge, breezing past the Bulldogs 62-32 at home. That looming 62-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Franklinton yet this season.

Franklinton can attribute much of their success to Markelle Massenburg, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds, and Sean Smith, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Massenburg is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Aiden Hemphill was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bunn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Southern Nash by a score of 52-50. Bunn has struggled against the Firebirds recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Franklinton's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Bunn, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Franklinton came up short against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January, falling 56-52. Will Franklinton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
