Basketball Recap: Carrollton Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Carrollton won the last time they faced Sandy Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Carrollton Warriors walked away with a 47-34 win over the Sandy Valley Cardinals. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Cardinals are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carrollton's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Sandy Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrollton will be taking part in a tournament against Meadowbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Sandy Valley, they will take on Fairless in a tournament on Thursday.
