Malibu is a perfect 5-0 against Fillmore since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Malibu Sharks will venture away from home to square off against the Fillmore Flashes at 6:00 p.m. The game will give Malibu their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

Malibu saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Foothill Tech by a score of 1-0.

Malibu was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The match finished with set scores of 25-22.

Meanwhile, Fillmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Oaks Christian.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Malibu, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Everything went Malibu's way against Fillmore when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Malibu made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Malibu repeat their success, or does Fillmore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
