Volleyball Recap: South Elgin Comes Up Short at Home Against Geneva + How To Watch

South Elgin unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Geneva Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, South Elgin sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 21-25, 25-22.

Camryn Boyd paced South Elgin's offense, picking up eight kills. Boyd got some help from Paige Genke and her 21 assists.

The win got Geneva back to even at 1-1.

South Elgin has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Schaumburg on the 27th. As for Geneva, they will take on Loyola Academy in a tournament on Friday.
