Basketball Recap: Kylan Finch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gibson County over South Gibson

Gibson County lost against South Gibson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gibson County Pioneers took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Gibson Hornets.

Gibson County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylan Finch, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Deberry, who scored 13 points.

Gibson County now has a losing record at 10-11. As for South Gibson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Gibson County has already played their next matchup, a 75-59 defeat against Peabody on the 24th. As for South Gibson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-45 win against Dyersburg on the 24th.
