Softball Recap: Southfield Christian Has No Trouble Against Greenhills

Southfield Christian came out on top against Greenhills on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run first inning. The Eagles blew past the Gryphons 15-0. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gryphons: they've now won four in a row.

Southfield Christian got a massive performance out of Zoe Scott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Scott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucia Reis, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Southfield Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Southfield Christian's record is now 7-8. As for Greenhills, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither Southfield Christian nor the Gryphons have any future games scheduled.
