Basketball Recap: Douglas Byrd Eagles vs. Terry Sanford Bulldogs
Douglas Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 73-56 bruising from the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. The Eagles lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-28 score last time.
Despite the loss, Douglas Byrd still got an impressive performance from Geomari Young, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Anthony Whitehead, who posted ten points.
