Softball Recap: Morgantown Falls Short Against Ranked University

Morgantown faced University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mohigans fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mohigans haven't been shut out since back in April.

MADISON WISMAN spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

Morgantown's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-11. As for University, their victory was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-5-1.

As of now, neither Morgantown nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
