They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-37 heartbreaker at the hands of The Gunston School. Despite the loss, Salisbury Christian got top-tier performance from Forrez Davis, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Graves, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Chincoteague had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Broadwater Academy with a sharp 58-38 win. The victory continues a trend for the Ponies in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Salisbury Christian better focus on containing J'Darius Davis and Austin Adams as the pair were huge in Chincoteague's win. Davis dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 steals, while Adams dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards.
