Soccer Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Liberty Christian Bulldogs, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Liberty Christian are ranked 25th).

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Liberty Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will welcome Amherst County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage will be up against Amherst County's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Liberty Christian, they will challenge Rustburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rustburg will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
