The Sumner Stingrays will square off against the Plant City Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sumner comes in on three and Plant City on five.

Sumner's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antonio Balaguer, who threw for 252 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. Tommy Scott was another key back, rushing for 88 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sumner was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Sumner's defense stepped up as well, laying out Dillon Rose-Bailey. six times. The heavy lifting was done by Kingston Revels and Robert Garcia, who racked up four sacks between them. Sumner got some further help from Damarion Evans: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Plant City strolled past Steinbrenner with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-14.
Plant City's win came from a few key players Sumner will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maurian Hugee, who rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Haven Pierce, who picked up 170 receiving yards and one TD.
Plant City's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sumner, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
