Softball Recap: Warner's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Warner extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 9-3 in the process. They blew past the Borrego Springs Rams 25-10. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

As for Borrego Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Borrego Springs' part, Anavey Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandra Torres, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Coming up, Borrego Springs will look to defend their home field on Friday against Julian at 3:30 p.m. Warner will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' game: after the Rams face off against Calipatria, they'll take on Warner again at 3:00 p.m. on May 2.
