Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Furtah Prep's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Rock Springs Christian Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Furtah Prep proved too difficult a challenge. They took down Rock Springs Christian Academy 56-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 85-38 back in December of 2024.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jase Nichols and Jason Bates. Nichols posted 13 points and seven rebounds, while Bates had 13 points. Nichols has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Furtah Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.

Similarly, Rock Springs Christian Academy will try to stop Central Fellowship Christian Academy's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
