Ecorse and University Liggett squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Ecorse had to settle for second. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ecorse saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korry Buxton, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Ecorse's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-1. As for University Liggett, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-11-2.

As of now, neither Ecorse nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
