Baseball Recap: Grosse Pointe North Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Grosse Pointe North's offense. They came up short against the Chippewa Valley Big Reds on Saturday, falling 6-0. Norsemen fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Big Reds since on Saturday.

Grosse Pointe North's loss dropped their record down to 8-25-1. As for Chippewa Valley, their record is now 18-14-2.

Grosse Pointe North and Chippewa Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Norsemen will square off against Romeo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (248 vs. 6). Meanwhile, Chippewa Valley (ranked 55th) will meet Dakota (ranked first) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
