Mt. Vernon waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Northeast Rebels by a score of 2-0.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Northeast, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Mt. Vernon and Northeast will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on Solon at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Northeast, their break will end when they face Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
