Soccer Game Preview: Pawling vs. Woodlands

The Pawling Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Woodlands Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pawling has three straight victories, Woodlands has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Pawling proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Arlington by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Pawling were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Woodlands fell victim to Hamilton and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Woodlands have lost by exactly four goals.

Woodlands' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Pawling, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Pawling took their victory against Woodlands in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
