Volleyball Game Preview: Sequoyah Eagles vs. Wright Christian Wildcats

The Sequoyah Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Wright Christian Wildcats at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Sequoyah came up short against Berryhill and fell 2-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wright Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Dewey on Friday and fell 2-1. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldoggers 25-11 in the first set.

Wright Christian actually scored more points across those three sets (54-53), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 25-14, 17-15.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2. As for Wright Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 18-3.

Sequoyah was able to grind out a solid victory over Wright Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
