Volleyball Recap: Thornton Takes a Loss

Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thornwood Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Thornwood, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 18-16.

Thornton has already played their next matchup (against Crete-Monee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Thornwood, after both having extra time off, they and Lincoln-Way East will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
