Baseball Recap: Ithaca Gets the Win

Ithaca won the last time they faced Michigan Lutheran Seminary and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 5-2 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Brady Paradise tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Greyson Merchant was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor McMurphy, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Ithaca's record now sits at 10-4. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Ithaca by a score of 8-6 later that day.
