Preview: Liberty Ranch Hawks vs. Bradshaw Christian The Pride
After two games on the road, Liberty Ranch is heading back home. They will take on the Bradshaw Christian The Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Liberty Ranch suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 82-57 loss at the hands of Union Mine. While losing is never fun, Liberty Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 817th, while Union Mine is ranked 177th).
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 95-44 win over Galt on the road. That 51 points margin sets a new team best for Bradshaw Christian this season.
It was another big night for Josh O'neal, who scored 43 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Carson, who scored nine points along with eight assists and two steals.
Liberty Ranch has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Bradshaw Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Liberty Ranch suffered a grim 65-43 defeat to Bradshaw Christian in their previous matchup on January 9th. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Liberty Ranch was down 36-16.
