Basketball Recap: Northridge Wins Going Away Against Francis W. Parker

It's playoff time, and Northridge had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 68-44 margin over the Francis W. Parker Colonels on Wednesday. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Francis W. Parker saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brady Harris went 5-for-9 to rack up 16 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Harris also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Miles Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Northridge pushed their record up to 25-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.3 points. As for Francis W. Parker, they moved to 14-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Northridge will look to defend their home court on Friday against Christ the King at 7:00 p.m. Christ the King knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Northridge likes a good challenge. Francis W. Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
