Soccer Game Preview: Peak to Peak vs. Kent Denver

Peak to Peak hasn't had much luck against Kent Denver recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pumas will square off against the Sun Devils at 4:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Peak to Peak and Stargate School finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Kent Denver had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Jaguars. Hadley Carrington had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Kent Denver got from the refs.

Annika Schiffner and Paige Mahoney scored both of Kent Denver's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Kent Denver's win bumped their record up to 12-2. Peak to Peak's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-2.

Peak to Peak suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Kent Denver in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Pumas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
