Newberry is 8-2 against Mid-Carolina since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Newberry Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Mid-Carolina Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Newberry took a blow against Irmo, falling 73-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Saluda, falling 57-33.

Newberry will have to contain Kaden Myers as he made an impact in Mid-Carolina's last game. He posted 15 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Crooks, who put up ten points.

Mid-Carolina's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Newberry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Newberry against Mid-Carolina when the teams last played back in February, as the team secured a 70-39 win. Will Newberry repeat their success, or does Mid-Carolina have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
