Football Recap: Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook Comes Up Short at Home Against Rockville

Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Rockville Rams on Friday, falling 48-0.

Among those leading the charge was Darren Ghostlaw, who threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Davis Jr., who picked up 69 receiving yards and one TD.

Rockville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cromwell/Portland at 6:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Rockville, they will square off against Granby Memorial/Canton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
