Softball Recap: Goldthwaite Comes Up Short

Goldthwaite was the 6-1 winner over Junction when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Goldthwaite fell 6-3 to Junction on Friday. Goldthwaite has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenley Howard was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Goldthwaite's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Junction, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record this season.

While Goldthwaite had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
