Preview: Lake Worth Trojans vs. North Broward Prep Eagles
The Lake Worth Trojans will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the North Broward Prep Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lake Worth scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Inlet Grove 82-40 at home. Lake Worth has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, North Broward Prep earned a 37-30 victory over American Heritage on Tuesday. Given North Broward Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while American Heritage is ranked 106th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Broward Prep had a senior duo take command as Raul Perez ruiz dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds and Enrico Borio dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Borio continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Lake Worth's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for North Broward Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
