Volleyball Recap: Galena Takes a Loss

Galena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Billings Wildcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-23.

Mel Rice paced Galena's offense, picking up 14 kills. Rice got some help from Ava Watson and her ten assists. Rice was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 15-11-3. As for Billings, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Coming up, Galena will head out on the road to challenge Purdy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Billings, they will welcome New Covenant Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
