Tabb was the 6-5 winner over Smithfield when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Packers on Friday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Tabb saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Garcia also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Tabb's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Smithfield, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Tabb will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on York at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Smithfield, they will face off against Southampton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Packers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
