Soccer Recap: Laurens Takes a Loss

Laurens managed to slip by Westside the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Laurens came up short against Westside on Thursday, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Laurens couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Kaylie Howard, who's now up to eight this season.

Laurens' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Westside, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurens will take on Fountain Inn at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westside, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Emerald at 5:30 p.m. on April 7.
