Softball Recap: Thornridge Comes Up Short

Thornridge lost to Rich Township on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons came up short against the Raptors, falling 30-3.

Thornridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rich Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornridge will take on Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blazing Trojan have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.29 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rich Township, they will face off against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raptors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
