Baseball Game Preview: Hurricane Tigers vs. Dixie Flyers

For the second straight game, Hurricane will face off against Dixie. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flyers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hurricane has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with ten straight defeats, while Dixie will come in with five straight wins.

Hurricane might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-2 to Dixie, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

For Dixie's part, Weston Gilmore was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Gilmore has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carter Turley, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Dixie pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Hurricane, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
