The Lapel Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Mt. Vernon Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lapel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lexi D'Angelo was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Jenkins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Mt. Vernon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mt. Vernon's record now sits at 3-7. As for Lapel, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
