Baseball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage fell victim to Spotswood and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trailblazers. The game marked the first time this season in which the Pride were not able to get on the board.

Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erick Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Heritage and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Spotswood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Heritage will welcome Potomac Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spotswood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rockbridge County at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
