Softball Game Preview: Peoria Lions vs. Normal West Wildcats

Peoria is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Normal West a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Peoria Lions will host the Normal West Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Peoria fell victim to Eureka and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Normal West came up short against Champaign Central on Monday and fell 5-2.

Normal West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKinley Pate, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Normal West, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
